PUSHU LAM (2017-2020)
"The Secret of getting ahead is getting started". (Mark Twain)
Hello,
My name is Pushu Lam from Tuensang, Nagaland. I'm an alumnus, batch of 2017-2020.
First and foremost, I would like to thank the Model Christian College family and especially our most respected Principal, Dr.Luke, for giving me this prospect to share my experience and journey.
Since childhood, I always had a dream to travel the globe, share and experience different lifestyles and nationalities throughout the nation. And today, I'm living that dream. This was and is possible because of the opportunity given to me by the MCC family.
It all started during my 5th semester when the college had a seminar on Aviation and Hospitality industry where I got the opportunity to represent our prestigious college. This very opportunity opened the door to my success in Aviation and Hospitality sector in general.
After my graduation from Model Christian College, Kohima, I pursued certification course for 6 months in Aviation and Hospitality from Trig Empowering Institute Guwahati, Assam. Right after the course, I got the opportunity to work with Indigo Airlines, Kolkata based, as a Flight Manager.
Five months after working in Indigo, I wanted to try something new. By God grace, I got into Princess Cruises US.
Today, with the support of all my loved ones and God grace, I'm able to live my dream. In two years of working, I got the chance to visit more than 30 countries and counting that, I'm sure, is a dream for many of us.
Lastly I would like to urge my dear brothers and sisters to keep believing in yourselves and have the courage to make the choice that will lead you to your dream life.
I would also like to add one more thing, that is, keep God the centre of everything and surely you shall reap more than you sow.
Thankyou!
